- Valid for students attending high school, college or university (age 14-24)
- Picture Student ID and ID verifying age are mandatory at flight check-in. No exceptions.
- Mature students over 24 years attending a recognized college or university must provide proof of full time enrollment in the form of an original letter from the registrars' office at the time of check-in. Lakehead University or Laurentian University issued photo ID card, in combination with the NOSM photo ID badge will be sufficient for +25yr old Students to take advantage of our Youth Standby program.
- Tickets purchased in advance are held in a credit file under the name of the student for future use and when ready to travel simply call our Reservations Centre to be placed on the standby list.
- Students must present him/herself at the Bearskin Airlines airport counter no less than 1 hour before flight and quote the ticket number.
- Eligible passengers will not be permitted to reserve a seat or be waitlisted on any flight.
- Student Standby tickets are not available for purchase online. They may only be purchased by calling our Reservation Centre toll free at 1 800 465 2327 or directly from an airport counter.
- Please be mindful that use of Student Standby tickets can sometimes be difficult at peak travel times including Christmas and Thanksgiving Weekend. To avoid disappointment, some students choose to travel confirmed at these times of the year and use Student Standby fares for other travel dates.
- Tickets cannot be refunded once purchased and expire 12 months after purchase if not used.
- Tickets are non-transferable.
